Named for its rich, milk-like sap — the plant of maternal nourishment itself. Also the sole food source for monarch butterflies — one rooted, nourishing presence can sustain an entire migration.
Alfalfa
Medicago sativa
One of the deepest-rooting plants on earth, with roots reaching 20 or more feet. Extraordinarily mineral-rich, used for centuries to address depletion, malnutrition, and exhaustion. Supports those who feel impoverished at a soul level — who give and give but feel perpetually empty. Prosperity that comes from tapping into reserves far below what is visible.
