The Meaning

First let's talk about the number seven; it is a number of success and victory.  So we know that this is a triumphant experience. The fact that the suit is wands (fire element) indicates that we are dealing with passion, desire and creativity.

One way to read this card is that there is a kind of battle going on- you are being challenged. A difficult decision is being presented and the inner will is being tested.  There is an element of desire and that may be the challenge- overcoming lower, less helpful desires.  In order to do this you must call upon higher forces to assist.  Help is available to you so call upon your allies and Great Spirit for help. This is the power you will need to overcome any inner or outer battle.

Another element that is interesting here is that we are not really sure if there is in fact a battle to fight- meaning we may be facing a challenge or it may just be a perceived challenge.  Remember the first act of war is defense.  In order for there to be a battle you must participate in it.  What if you didn’t?  What if instead of being over vigilant and defensive you softened and simply expected a win- stood confident and true to yourself.  Trust in your past experience. This energetic shift could be all it takes to succeed- so expect to win.  You don't need a battle to take place in order to feel alive.
