The Moon Card is card 18 in the Major arcana.

Affirmation: It is fully in my power to change my experience at will. I open to the new, refreshing and unknown present moment.

The sun had set and the moon appears on the horizon. This night is filled with half illuminated mysteries, terror and magic. You may find you are alone and in complete darkness- so it seems. It is within this darkness that you must find your deeply hidden intuition and ancient instincts to navigate your path. This is the challenge that you are presented with now. You are learning to get back in touch with your life force and to trust yourself. The two pillars up ahead beckon you on and you must go, moving towards the new, for going back is simply not an option. This is the moment of crossing over. In order to make it through you will need to take a look at all things that do not belong to your nature and discard them. At this time we must not abandon ourselves, we need ourselves more than ever. There is no way past or around this moment- no possibility of bypass. Its as if you are being thrown back into the body and must rely on the inner primal wisdom to carry yourself beyond. This new awakening brings a new awareness of your path; you begin to see it in a new light. Things become more illuminated and you have the option to see your quest as a divine sacred task that nature has assigned you. Your life can now become your sacred quest, and the process is to bring darkness into consciousness- into the light. You are getting a taste of what life can be like when you deeply trust yourself and your instincts-that is the necessary ingredient to reaching the new world that is being shown to you at this time.

This experience, or initiation, is sometimes called the dark night of the soul, but do not become discouraged, move forward and hold tight to faith. Let go of the old known world so you can welcome the unknown states of consciousness and experience the greatest parts of who you really are. You are never alone, but always guided by the light of the moon, the feminine magic and mystery within. You do not need to understand this logically…let go of the mind’s attempt to understand and move through your heart sense.

Marigold is here with us as an inner feminine support and guide. Ancinet and wise, she is a confidant and great-grandmother in times of need- embracing us at a time when we need it most. Her ears and heart are always open to us; she will help us find our inner wise woman.
