Queen of Cups

All queens belong to the element of water and so are half water and half whatever suit they represent.  This queen's suit  is cups (water)  which makes her a double or pure water element.   She is intuitive and beautiful, sitting at the water's edge, connecting to her imagination and subconscious. This double reflection of the water is symbolic of her choice to reflect her feelings accurately and authentically.

Her message urges us to commit to expressing our feelings honestly, openly and without apology. She is the master of emotional integrity.  She represents the constant practice of owning one's feelings and expressing them without blame or judgment. How beautiful of a practice this is!  She does not deny, repress or abandon her feelings, and her capability to responsibly express them is another of her gifts.    She does not use her feelings to attack others or blame others, nor does she apologize for them.  She consistently chooses integrity over illusion, owning what his hers.

On another level, she is associated with motherhood, female authority and expression around the issues of motherhood.  When combined with one of the other four motherhood symbols in the deck (the Empress, Page of pentacles, Judgment card), this could be pointing to motherhood in some capacity.

Use this card as a visual healing tool to empower you to express feelings honestly and responsibly. What a purely joyful practice!

Flower essences used:

I have chosen the Mimosa flower, the flower that helps us to move deeper and deeper into a sense of joy. It will bring to the surface past traumas and that which needs to be healed and transmuted.  It will help one to see feelings and emotions for what they are and allows space in between our experience of those feelings, and the actions we take in response to them.  To be able to be in control of our response and act out of integrity is true freedom that leads us to experience our true nature; pure boundless joy!
